In my state, Aetna has pulled out of the exchange that the state is standing up wrt 'Obamacare':

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/08/02/aetna-withdraws-from-maryland-insurance-market-after-state-demands-lower-rates-in-health-insurance-exchanges/

"According to online documents, Aetna had requested an average monthly premium of $394 a month for one of its plans and the agency had approved an average rate of $281 per month."

Looks like Aetna's cut may be over $100/mo... for being a 'middle man'

I dont know if the $281/mo is going to end up holding up or not at this point... but if it does, then I believe anyone in the state can get healthcare for $281/mo....

If this is less than what corporate HR depts are already paying the insurers, those VPs of HR are going to go ballistic and the insurers are going to shit their pants....

My county in MD has 300,000 population, if they all paid 281/mo I think that is about $1B per year to provide healthcare for the whole county...

Doesnt sound too bad as long as people have the income to pay the 281/mo...

But a majority opposes the individual mandate.
